booking terms - yoga workshops
Once you’ve registered your interest to join our workshops an email confirmation will be sent to you. You can either pay by card or Paypal directly on the website (you don’t have to have a PayPal account) or we can email you details of how to pay by cheque, BACS or cash. Payment by cheque, BACS or cash must be received to secure a place on our workshops within 7 working days. If moneys have not been received in this time unfortunately your place will be offered to someone else. Booking will be on a first come, first served basis.
We regret that no refund or transfer can be given if you are unable to attend due to illness, work, family or other reasons. If a workshop is cancelled you will be offered either a refund or the option of being transferred to an alternative event. Before committing to a workshop, please ensure you can attend the scheduled event. All bookings are non-exchangeable. Mind, Body and You (MB&Y) reserves the right to amend this policy at its sole discretion.
Before attending any yoga workshop we will kindly ask you to complete our health questionnaire. This is a requirement of our booking system. We sadly can not accept anyone on our workshops if this questionnaire has not been completed, signed and returned before the workshop.
Yoga is safe and all of our teachers are qualified and insured to provide the best and safest teaching. We do ask that you take responsibility for your own health and care by listening to your body, respecting it and practicing yoga with an awareness of your own limitations and comfortable range of motion. Your ability may vary from session to session depending on your state of well-being, fitness, tiredness and stress levels. Please practice yoga in a way that feels right for you on any given day and never work into pain.
Before the start of each yoga workshop or class please advise us, if you have any concerns about your health or if your ability to exercise changes (i.e. pregnancy, muscle soreness, joint pain, pulled muscles, minor injuries etc). Please inform your teacher immediately if you feel any discomfort during a session. Please also inform the teacher if you felt any discomfort after a previous session. If you feel unwell (head cold, dizziness, sickness etc) it would be best not to attend class. This is primarily for your safety and well-being (your powers of concentration and performance levels may be below par and however slight, there is an increased risk of injury) and also in consideration for the comfort, well-being and health of other members in the class.
As with all forms of physical exercise, if you have any health issues or concerns please consult your doctor before starting. The yoga sessions are not a substitute for medical counselling or treatment. If you have any doubts about the suitability of yoga, you should refer back to your medical practitioner. If you’re new to yoga, it is not advisable to do yoga between weeks during the first trimester of pregnancy. It is also wise to wait eight weeks after the birth before resuming exercise.
The teacher can accept no liability for personal injury related to participation in a session if:
• Your doctor has, on health grounds, advised you against such exercise.
• You fail to observe instructions on safety or technique.
• Such injury is caused by the negligence of another participant in the class/studio.
It is advisable to drink water during and after sessions to re-hydrate the body and to help flush out toxins that may have been released by your body as a result of the exercise programme. Six to eight large glasses of water per day will also help to promote and improve your general health and well-being.
Yoga sometimes involves hands-on (tactile) correction and by accepting these terms and conditions you will be agreeing to this. If you have any objection to this please highlight this to one of the members of the MB&Y team.
Any photography or video taken during the workshops may be used for marketing purposes – if you have any objection to this please highlight this to a member of the MB&Y team.
By registering on a Mind Body and You yoga workshop, you confirm that you have read and understood the terms and conditions and that the information you have provided to register on the workshop is correct.
